Our Team

At ASAPT we employ therapists who are truly passionate about working with the pediatric population. This comes through during our interactions with the family and child and our willingness to assist the family to the best of our abilities.

Daniel Cross Physical Therapist

I have been practicing physical therapy since 1995, and have been a pediatric therapist since 2001. I founded this clinic in 2006, and have been operating as the owner and president since. I have a great passion for working with children and feel we can make the greatest impact on their lives in the early years of development. I truly love what I do and will continue to serve the children of NKY and greater Cincinnati as long as I can.

Debra Way Speech-Language Pathologist

I have been working with pediatric clients since 1992.I have a wide variety of experience with preschool and early elementary aged children. For me, the best part of working with children is seeing the progress they achieve and getting to know them and their families!

Benjamin Chernoff Speech-Language Pathologist

Iā€™m driven by helping people develop and recover their ability to communicate! I love working with children of all ages- evaluating and treating delays in speech development, expressive (producing) and receptive (understanding) language, fluency (stuttering), dysphagia (difficulty swallowing or eating), and more. Every child is different, and I'm passionate about helping children with autism, children with Down syndrome, children with other genetic and developmental disorders, and neurotypical children with no diagnosis. Prior to my career as a speech-language pathologist, I used neuroimaging to study the recovery of language before, during, and after brain surgery at Carnegie Mellon University in their cognitive neuroscience PhD program.

Megan Grainger Speech-Language Pathologist

I recently joined A Step Ahead Pediatric Therapy after I left my position as a School SLP.  I have 15 years experience working in Northern KY Schools with students Pre-K through 12th grade.  I am a proud graduate of the University of Cincinnati earning both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the College of Allied Health Sciences.  I continue to support the program at the University of Cincinnati by supervising graduate school students during their practicum experiences on their journey to become an SLP.  I have been passionate about the field my entire life as my mom was an SLP; I observed her for many years as she did private therapy after school.  I have serviced a wide variety of ages and disabilities.  I love seeing my students make progress with their speech goals and begin to communicate all of their wants and needs independently and efficiently!
